It is my small effort to affirm Eric Voegelin’s defense of Moses, which is often at odds with other political scientists and the standard line of the historical-critical school of biblical scholarship. Even though I am remain a “Voegelinian,” I have to admit that Voegelin often resembles von Rad on occasion!
