Well, sure, Darryl. We care about other churches. My own local church, at my suggestion (pause to congratulate myself), prays in the liturgy each week for one of the other local churches: baptist, pentecostal, etc.

But.

How do we get into those churches with Reformation ideas? It's going to take a long time. One of our number has had great success, to an extent, in his city and has lectured at our conferences on this. But it is going to be a long haul.

But, we DO care!!

Doug, much here with which I sympathize. The Lord's Day, worship and the local congregation are crucial to the Christian ministry, no matter what denomination or tradition. But I wonder about the other churches. To be Reformed is to believe in the unity of the church. That means at least some affirmation of connectionalism, and that I can't be content simply with my own congregations but the others, which has led to church polity of a Presbyterian kind.

So again the issue of ecclesiology rears its head. A Reformed churchman would typically be concerned about other churches that don't have the vision thing.
