		<description>As much as I like Kurthâ€”I had him as a professor last semesterâ€”I really can't see him as Secretary of State. He has a strange style of speaking that makes for engaging lectures, but would scare the heck out of me coming from the SecDef. 

He is also enormously pessimistic about our chances of dealing with terrorism in general, and basically seems to expect a successful nuclear attack within the next five years...because he thinks the government is utterly incapable of actually creating an effective border security regimen.

In short, not the best choice politically.

Still, he is quite a wonderful professor. Too bad he is retiring very very shortly.</description>
