		<description>Not sure that "stock" means anything here.  Pinkerton wants to thwart Sauron's invasion, so he picked a guy who while in office showed government-style sympathy for illegals (i.e., wanted to give them "free" stuff).  He also opposed the Iraq War, but wants to pick the guy who will double the size of the military and send Iranians to the gates of hell.  Looks like he's backing an "invade the world, invite the world" guy to me, and given his prior views it makes little sense. 

Course I haven't read him in a long time.  Maybe he no longer opposes the occupation of Mesopotamia.</description>
