All that remains of Christendom in Europe is the idea of natural law and a lot of tourist drawing cathedrals. Heaven forbid that the U.S. should stop a genocide perpetrated by a neo-fascist war criminal who, despite claims of Christian heritage, had nothing to do with Christ because... he was a war criminal! Simply because an injustice is committed against people who don't have "Christian" roots doesn't mean Christians who also have "Christian" roots should condone it by their inaction.
